warmest ankle boots!

I bought these boots for a December trip to Montana (it was minus 30 degrees when I arrived)
They were comfortable right out of the box and are certainly warm and toasty!
These are my very favorite winter ankle boots. Just perfect.

Great shoe boots !

They are easy to put on, and I feel secure on the snow. They are also attractive.

This purchase is my 2nd pair of boots replacing the boots I've had for 25 years.

12N fits like AA-AAA dress shoe; no 13N exists to size up. :( :(

Was really hoping to find a well-fitting winter shoe good enough for hiking, but the last isn't going to work. The toe space looks ample from the shape, but is all scaled too small. Top toe nail and outside toe is crushed into shoe. Even if the shoe packs out, will be a cold spot in the shoe. There is no real heel pocket, so the insole length is almost all the foot gets. Pictured to illustrate the problem. When squatting --essential hiking activity-- the heel hits the back of the shoe. Same would happen on a steep climb. Going hiking in these would be a disaster, but I'll keep them as a winter city shoe just to see if they break in well. Btw, I can only fit thinnest liner socks in there!
