I ordered my usual size 12 but it was slightly too big so I gave them to my oldest son who said they fit well but even better the second time he wore them. I re-ordered an 11 1/2 that fit me better. As for comfort, the bottom wasn't as comfortable as others I had been wearing but like my son that seemed to improve with each wearing. In the style depth, they are great too.

Overall the shoes look good but not as comfortable as other Rieker styles I have. The shoe is very “noisy “ when walking as the shoes strings rub/move constantly creating a very noticeable sound that can easily be heard by everyone around.

I have several pairs of regular Ilse Jacobsen tulip shoes in size 40 (they do run small). They fit perfectly and are very comfortable. I thought I’d try the PLATFORM version for a change. The soles are so heavy that they slide off my feet. I have put cushions in the shoes, hoping they would keep my feet from slipping out, but they’re not very effective. I may now try to rig up an elastic tie through the small holes in the uppers of the shoes. My advice is to stick with the regular Ilse Jacobsen tulip shoes. The platforms are much too heavy. I didn’t get the extra discount on them, which adds to my disappointment!

When I first thought about buying a pair, I thought they'd be okay just to wear on vacation but they are now my everyday footwear . I cannot stop wearing them.
