Birkenstock Women's Uppsala Shearling Taupe Suede

I love the boots. They fit my wide toe box beautifully. But the insoles that come with the boots are not shearling as you might expect. The hard edges of the insoles hurt my foot so I used a pair of shearling insoles from another pair of boots, and that did the trick. I managed to spill the tiniest drop of oil on the toe of one boot. Sadly, no care guide lines were provided, and no suede cleaners or protectants were recommended by Birkenstock for these taupe boots. When I stepped outside in the drizzle, the rain water spotted the suede! The Abeo shearling boots I have worn for over 5 years have been indestructible. Not the Birkenstocks.
